Cleaning
Keeping your roof, gutters and downspouts clean and clear of any debris is a critical part of prudent annual maintenance. Our programs allow the entire gutter system to function and achieve its maximum life expectancy. Our team will first ensure all loose debris is removed from both flat and sloped roof areas. We then clean all gutters either by blower or hand, depending on the most effective method for your particular system. Each downspout is thoroughly flushed with a high powered air pressure system and checked from ground level to assure proper flow. Upon completion of our maintenance you will be left with clean gutters, siding and grounds.
Repair
Gutter systems that have not always received proper basic maintenance can sag over time due to the build up of debris. This can eventually lead to the gutters overflowing which among other problems can cause flooded basements and plant killing soil erosion around your foundation. In some cases, this is caused by a faulty support and ferrule system that has become loose from excess debris weight. In other cases something as simple as ice buildup within the gutters can lead to the same issue. Systems that become clogged cause the water to rise inside where it can often spill through the back and rot away the wood around the spike nails. This is especially problematic as these nails are designed to go through the front and back of the gutter and into the facial board. Because metal constantly expands and contracts with temperature variations and ice build up, the gutters will pull the spikes out weakening the whole system. Some contractors use these spikes as opposed to the proper method of using inside hidden gutter hangers. When properly installed, these hangers should be screwed into the facial board, avoiding the use of messy spike nails. However, even with a properly installed hidden bracket system, other problems can occur. When gutters becomes heavy with debris or ice, it can pull away from the home bringing the fascia board along with it. This creates an opening for water to bounce off of the back of the fascia and dump directly into the soffit area or inside wall of home. The good news is a full replacement is not necessary in cases like this. We specialize in repairing these issues at costs well below a full replacement!
Guards
Basic maintenance becomes much easier with the installation of a gutter guard system. As the name suggest, their primary purpose is to “guard” your gutters against debris and leaves from being able to enter the gutters.* We offer a wide range of guards from simple mesh starting around $2.50/ft all the way to custom designed top of the line solutions in the $25.00/ft range. Additionally, there are a wide variety of options to consider in-between these two price ranges as well! Our team can discuss your gutter system and provide you with the options that will most closely match your desired results and price range.
*Unfortunately, even the best guard system money can buy will not fully prevent every potential type of debris from making your gutter its home. With this in mind, cleanings will still become necessary, but not nearly as often as with an unguarded system. Our team will provide you a recommended maintenance schedule tailored to your particular guard system and installation.
